Coming in at number 4 is…Joy to the World!
Grace from Musings of Mama Grace said that she loves gospel choir music. This is probably the only song in the top 4 that lends itself to a funky gospel version, though if you can prove me wrong on that I’d be happy to hear anything you have to offer on the top 3 songs. I was SOOO excited when Neil Finn tweeted back. He said that this was his favourite Christmas song, then a whole bunch of others did too! How beautiful is this version by Sarah McLachlan?
Finally the favourite Christmas song on the countdown is O Holy Night! Here is the “Queen of Gospel” Mahalia Jackson singing her heart out. I love her voice.
